New ARC Advisory Group research on the global Control Valves market reveals that the business disruptions brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic have caused owner-operators across many process industries to either delay or outright cancel many projects. Since control valves often represent a significant component of these projects, the pandemic has had a major negative impact on the control valves market (along with most other automation products). ARC’s latest research suggests these effects are likely to linger through most of 2021.
“The closure of production facilities and offset in the global supply chain has led to a severe downturn in process industries in 2020, with most companies witnessing a double-digit decline in the annual revenue growth rates. Customer spending is expected to remain low until 2022. Most industries are expected to downsize and withhold spending toward infrastructure expansion or new developments until the economies’ resurgence to pre-pandemic status,” according to David Clayton, Research Director at ARC Advisory Group and key author of ARC’s Control Valves Global Market Research report.
