Mintrobot, led by CEO Hyungseok Kang, showcased its groundbreaking Software-Defined Robotics (SDR) technology at CES 2025, marking a significant leap in the integration of cloud computing and robotics. The company’s container-based virtualization technology allows for the cloud-based operation of motion controllers, navigation controllers, and unified controllers, enabling real-time control of virtual robots that mirror physical counterparts.

At the event, Mintrobot demonstrated its capabilities through a virtual metaverse booth, highlighting key innovations such as its proprietary motion controller, ROS Navi2-based navigation controller, and Fabric Mind—an AI agent engine for cognitive tasks. This approach not only showcased the company’s technological expertise but also emphasized the potential of software-centric robotic systems.

CEO Hyungseok Kang emphasized the cost and time efficiency of virtualization, stating, “By leveraging this technology, we can validate functionalities before production, drastically reducing expenses.” The company’s strategy aligns with broader industry trends, as highlighted by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote on physical AI and the Omniverse digital twin platform. Mintrobot plans to integrate these advancements with its own virtualization technology to expand robotics applications.

Mintrobot’s shift toward cylindrical robot platforms underscores its ambition to dominate the global market. Kang drew parallels to NVIDIA’s success, stating, “Hardware is the foundation, but software defines value.” This philosophy was evident in Mintrobot’s CES presentation, which seamlessly blended software and hardware to present a cohesive vision for the future of robotics.

Through its participation in CES 2025, Mintrobot solidified its position as a key player in the global robotics market, showcasing its potential to drive innovation and growth in the industry.
