The World’s Most Influential Connectivity Event Returns with Exciting Highlights

The GSMA has shared its vision for MWC25 Barcelona, set to take place from 3-6 March 2025. Under the theme “Converge. Connect. Create.”, the event will bring together industry leaders, startups, and policymakers for the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event. The GSMA’s Director General, Mats Granryd, expressed his excitement, stating that the event will highlight the disruptive energy of the AI era and showcase products and ideas that will reshape our digital future.
MWC25 Barcelona will feature discussions on technology’s role in society, with insights from some of the world’s most influential minds. Key topics include the impact of AI on our lives, the balance between innovation and regulation, and the evolution of mobile networks. The event will also include around 1,200 speakers across 19 stages, with keynote sessions focusing on key trends like 5G and AI.

Chief Marketing Officer Lara Dewar emphasized that MWC25 Barcelona will be one of the most thought-provoking editions yet, featuring discussions that resonate beyond the event itself. First-time exhibitors such as Alibaba Cloud and Tencent Cloud will join returning sponsors like Ericsson, Google, and Nokia, showcasing their latest innovations.
The 4YFN (4 Years From Now) segment will gather startups, investors, and corporates to foster the next generation of unicorns. Notable participants include the father of modern AI, Juergen Schmidhuber, and finalists of the 4YFN Awards.
The GSMA Pavilion will showcase the European Space Agency’s partnership results and a new Kazakh large language model for AI. Additionally, the GSMA Open Gateway showcase will demonstrate how network APIs are enabling new services across sectors.
The GSMA Ministerial Programme will convene industry leaders and policymakers to discuss AI governance, network energy efficiency, and future spectrum for mobile. MWC25 Barcelona will also co-locate with FC Barcelona’s Sports Tomorrow Congress and Mobile World Capital’s Talent Arena, featuring speakers like Apple’s Co-founder Steve Wozniak.
