[HannoverMesse] Compact and simple: the new MCM synchronous servo motors

Lenze has long been a leading supplier of servo systems and technology. With its new MCM synchronous servo motors, the specialist in drives and automation systems is now extending its portfolio to include motors with intermediate-level dynamic performance. The MCM series is very compact, easy to control and characterised by its optimally smooth running features. The new synchronous servo motors are therefore eminently suitable for the most varied of positioning tasks. At the Hannover Fair (Stand H20, Hall 14, 13 to 17 April), Lenze will be presenting the new motors to a wide public for the very first time.
Robotics, packaging equipment and handling systems are typical areas of use for the MCM motors, which are easy to control thanks to their especially favourable torque/inertial mass ratio. Thanks to their optimally smooth running characteristics, they ensure precise results and are particularly suitable for applications where smooth running is very important. The motors are tailored for the performance of simple positioning tasks requiring intermediate-level dynamic performance. For highly dynamic high-end applications with maximum requirements in respect of dynamics and precision, Lenze supplies the tried-and-tested MCS motors.
The housing of the new series has smooth, easy to clean surfaces with the IP65 protection class. This qualifies the compact motors for use in the food industry too. The motors are equipped with a robust resolver feedback system as a standard feature, but can also be optionally supplied with multiturn sin-cos encoders for high precision. SpeedTec connections with rotary connector boxes enable speedy installation and replacement in the event of service.
The new motor series initially comes in three sizes, namely 06, 09 and 12, with power ratings of 0.2 to 2.5 kW. In conjunction with the i700, 9400 and 8400 TopLine servo inverters, economically efficient and powerful drive solutions are therefore possible in the torque range from 0.6 to 26.4 Nm.
